A lean survival thriller built on relentless forward motion

Special Forces officer James Belmont and his combat dog Odin walk away from a plane crash into the Alaskan wilderness, then fight the elements just to stay alive. David Ayer keeps the stakes brutal and personal, Brad Pitt and J.K. Simmons anchor it, and the vast landscape earns the big screen. At 7.5 on IMDb, this is the most dependable ticket of the week for anyone who wants tension and payoff.
